Chit Chat Highlighter Concealer

Hi girls!

I picked up this Chit Chat Highlighter Concealer in Poundland - as far as I'm aware, Chit Chat is exclusive to Poundland, so obviously it was £1! I was under the assumption that it as a highlighter on one side and a concealer on the other, but it's actually just a twist-up tube with a brush applicator, that dispenses a liquid concealer.

I found this product to not be very effective at concealing, it's quite pink-toned (and there's only one shade available) so it's not suitable for redness, but even for dark circles, it didn't really cover anything up.

Before                         After

It brightened my eye area, but didn't conceal as well as I expected it to. Although it's concealer isn't great, it would be fantastic as a highlighter, and a little goes a long way. Considering how it's only £1. I think this product is worth it, albeit as a highlighter!

MUA Pencil Eyeliner

Hi Guys!

I bought these pencil eyeshadows from Superdrug for £1 each, which is a reasonable price for a pencil liner. They come with a sharpener built in the lid which comes in handy, even though they're not so soft that they need constant resharpening, you can never be too prepared!

I bought the colours Forest Green (part of the Intense Colour range), and Silver Sparkle (part of the Intense Glitter range).
The green is a beautiful colour, its absolutely gorgeous, and brings out the brown colour of my eyes. I think it's versatile enough to work with any eye colour. Its also quite soft, so doesn't pull on the skin around your eyes. The silver, however, is a different matter. I was expecting a silver pencil containing small glitter particles, so it would be more 'silver' and less 'sparkle'. However this just had massive glitter particles, which made the pencil really scratchy and rough to use, which is the last thing you want around your eyes! I wasn't impressed with the silver at all, and although the colours of the Intense Glitter pencils are really pretty, I'm not tempted to use them - although if you buy them from Superdrug, they often have testers that you can try out.

Overall, the 'Intense Colour' liners are soft and pretty, whereas the 'Intense Glitter' liners have a gorgeous colour range but are quite rough, so proceed with caution!

'Intense Colour' is available in 8 colours, 'Intense Glitter' is available in 7 colours, £1.00 each from Superdrug or muastore.co.uk

La Colors Loose Eyeshadows

Hi guys!

So I picked up these shimmering eyeshadows from Beauty Base in Westfield, Stratford for £1 each - I was a little sceptical when I first saw it, as I'm not a huge fan of single eyeshadows, I tend to prefer palettes. But the colours of these just blew me away - they're gorgeous!!

'Radiant'
'Chocolate Sprinkles'

I bought shades 'Chocolate Sprinkles' (left above) and 'Radiant' (right above). The colours are great, but the pigmentation isn't brilliant. A lot of people have said that the brush provided is all smashed up, but I must have got lucky, as the brushes were fine. The packaging is rubbish, it's quite fiddly, and it seems like a lot of product would go to waste.  However there are loads of videos on Youtube showing how to depot the shadows, so it's not a massive issue.

The shade 'Radiant' is more shimmery, whereas 'Chocolate Sprinkles' is more glittery, and has more fallout. With a primer underneath, these colours should last all day, and overall I think they are fantastic value for money. They have 15 colours to choose from (http://www.lacolors.com/Shimmering-Loose-Eyeshadow-1146.html), and are super cheap. I definitely recommend these - despite the rubbish packaging the product itself is fantastic.

LA Colors 12 colour Eyeshadow Palette

Hi Guys!

LA Colors are an international brand that produce affordable quality makeup - and lots of it. This 12 colour eyeshadow palette was an unbelievable 99p!!! I bought the palette Trendy, which is a more neutral palette, with lots of nudes, and browns. There are 7 other varieties of this palette available, but honestly some of them look like they contain pretty much the same colours, so overall there's 2 nude palettes, 2 blues, 3 purples,  and one mixed.

The colours are all slightly shimmery, which isn't as visible in normal light, but shows up really well under artificial lighting. The sponge applicator provided isn't great, but the colour range is good, all the colours are slightly different. The pigmentation isn't very good, but it is definitely buildable, so you could use this palette for a very sheer look, or go for a dramatic smoky eye.

The palest colour in the top right of the picture acts as a great highlight colour, but all the colours do tend to have quite a bit of fallout, so a primer should definitely be used under this.
Overall, if you're looking for a very subtle eye look, then this is the palette for you, as the colours are pretty, but not over-dramatic.

I got this palette from Sam's 99, but a wider range of products can be found at Beauty Base, either at one of their stores or online at http://www.beautybase.com/. Outside of the UK, I'm aware that Dollar Tree in America sell LA Colors products, or to find your nearest stockist, go to http://www.lacolors.com/location.php and fill out your info!

MUA Individual Eyeshadows

MUA (Make Up Academy) from Superdrug is definitely one of the cheapest brand I've seen, with most of their products at £1! I bought 3 individual eyeshadows at £1 each in shades 5, 6, and 7 - they tend to number their shades rather than give them names.

From top to bottom - shades 5, 6 and 7

The packaging is basic, a clear lid and a black base, but it's pretty sturdy.
The individual eyeshadows are quite big, and the colour output is fantastic! They have good staying power, and because they have a pearl finish rather than a glitter finish there is little fallout. Overall, for £1 you can't really go wrong, and in this case the price doesn't reflect the quality as these look beautiful when applied, and the colours stay vibrant.
As well as these shades, they have around 12 other shades. They are stocked in certain Superdrugs, but they also have their own website at http://www.muastore.co.uk/ and they ship both nationally and internationally.
